The Mill Basin Mikvah was built to be an elegant retreat for the entirety of one’s being, and a welcoming home for the soul — a sacred space designed to inspire every woman to discover the beauty and warmth of Taharat Hamishpacha.

The Shemia Building is a newly constructed mikvah, meticulously designed with exceptional elegance, modern features and equipment. Situated in a prime area, on a quiet street that is both safe and easily accessible. The building itself is thoughtfully designed to evoke a sense of comfort and security, while maintaining an aura of privacy and seclusion, all enveloped by beautiful and warm landscaping.
It features two Mikvah immersion rooms, seven private preparation rooms, a grand and inviting lobby, a generous mezzanine dedicated to ongoing classes and enlightening lectures on Taharah (Family Purity), fostering continuous learning and spiritual growth.
Our intuitive website and reservation platform, coupled with our integrated software system, are specifically designed to minimize waiting times, and offer a private experience, making you feel like you're the only one using this facility. The Mikvah operates under the esteemed supervision of Rabbi Zvi Elimelech Rokeach (Rav D'khal Bais Mordechai D'bertch) and his wife, Rebbetzin Sari Rokeach, who serves with grace as our Mikvah Director. They lead a staff of dedicated women, each united by a profound mission to make every visit truly extraordinary.
Baruch Hashem, our team has earned a reputation for unwavering dedication, investing both heart and soul into their work. This commitment to exceptional care and professionalism has established us as a trusted resource for guidance—even beyond our own neighborhood—particularly in the most sensitive situations.
Our Mikvah warmly serves a diverse and vibrant neighborhood, accommodating Sephardic and Ashkenazic practices alongside a wide range of cultural backgrounds. We ensure that every woman who walks through our doors feels completely at home.
While the Mikvah is operated with the sacred goal of accommodating Halachic opinions, our staff remains exceptionally sensitive. We extend the utmost respect to every woman's Rav and the cherished minhagim (customs) of her heritage. Our Mikvah works hand-in-hand with community Rabbis, trying to fulfill the unique needs of their kehillah.
For many years, literally hundreds of families in the Mill Basin neighborhood eagerly anticipated the establishment of a Tahara mikvah, as there has been none for so long. Boruch Hashem On Chanukah 2025 we were profoundly privileged to open the doors of this magnificent, spa-like, and holy mikvah.
